About Vaccinate Lancaster
The Vaccinate Lancaster initiative began in early 2021 as a collaborative community effort to quickly and efficiently vaccinate the residents of Lancaster County. Through the leadership of the Lancaster County Commissioners, this website was launched to provide Lancaster Countians with up-to-date facts, information and resources regarding the COVID-19 vaccine.
In February 2021, the Vaccinate Lancaster Coalition was formed to plan, develop and operate a community vaccination center to serve Lancaster County and the surrounding region. The coalition partners included: the Lancaster County government, Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health, Penn State Health, UPMC, WellSpan Health and the Lancaster City and County Medical Society. Together, they developed and operated the Lancaster County Community Vaccination Center, which opened on March 10 in the former Bon-Ton department store at Park City Center. Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health served as managing partner for the vaccination center, while Rock Lititz managed on-site logistics. In addition, TriStarr Staffing managed staff recruitment, while Brookfield Properties served as site location partner.
The Lancaster County Community Vaccination Center closed on June 30. Click here for information related to the former center. We continue to offer historical information about the Vaccinate Lancaster initiative and vaccine information and resources through this website.
